Meh. I honestly could care less whether or not it's "trendy", it doesn't affect the quality of the music (which is alright; nothing special or amazing, but alright).

And being a moderate fan of deathcore, it doesn't bother me.

why is that approx 90% of all people on boards like these think that their music is better than everyone elses' and if someone else has a different taste or a different favorite band they're "gay"

I previewed a Bring Me The Horizon album in FYE once and thought it was okay, but not good enough for me to be willing to pay whatever ridiculous price they were asking for it. When I got home, I looked them up in the metal archives and the album had a rating of like 24% with over a dozen ratings, probably because they're -core. There were a few ratings in the high 90s and the remainder were mostly from 0% to the middle teens, but there was pretty much nothing in between. Honestly, I wasn't surprised by the rating, since it's a -core band, but that kind of dichotomy still entertains me none-the-less.

-core is pretty gay and shitty on it's own as an idea, with not a lot that can be done to make it better....but I still don't know why every form of music has to have it added nowadays to make that type of music better..like the kids will piss themselves if there's not crappy dissonant riffs with bad guitar tone and a high school guy screaming with some breakdowns. Maybe if we had a couple breakdowns and repeated scream phrases in the new Britney Spears single it would suddenly become teh awesome.

bmth are terrible because of their shit vocalist. With lyrics like "I'VE GOT A SECRET, I KNOW SOMETHING YOU DONT KNOWW" its not that hard to figure out theyre bad. they have nothing to do with metalcore, or metal at all.

it's not just that they play a style of music most people on here aren't into. It's that they suck at that style. There are bands in this style who are vastly better at it. Listen to them instead.
