British Thrash

Xentrix rock!!
Even if they sounded a bit too much like Testament and Metallica at times...
That Ghostbusters cover was cool as hell :D

I've heard a bit of Acid Reign, can't remember how it was though...

Onslaught and Sabbat were interesting as well.

aint doom thrash like contradictory? thrash is fast doom is slow aint it?

Youre right! But Sacrilege is somehow both. They have very heavy and doomy riffs and parts but also some thrashing parst as well...

Like Post Mortem and Dream Death etc...

Funnily enough, I got a compilation of underground UK Thrash bands from 1989...cost me 30p and it's fucking class. Anyone know any of these bands?

Treason (released one EP which is tough as steel to get hold of)
Deviant
Snyper
First Blood
Arbitrater (released two albums apparently)
Metal Messiah (fucking rock! One album)
Resentment
Wreckage
Warpspeed
Purgatory

I remember and my opinion is that if it´s Thrash it´s good. Honestly, I´ve not found a single bad Thrash band yet...
WHAT ABOUT METALLICA AND MOTORHEAD, THEY ARE A SHAMEFUL ADDITION TO THRASH THAT i WISH WOULD HAVE NEVER EXISTED FOR THRASH'S SAKE. OTHER THAN THAT (OH AND MEGADETH) I AGREE WITH U.

Cool seeing Treason...I remember when I bought that compilation, soon after I went to the Iron Maiden forum and asked if anyone knew the bands...one dude said he saw Treason live and that was it. It ain't 'alf a struggle pinning down these bands ^_^

There were some amazing UK Thrash bands. Sabbat were easily the best. Others I really like are Deathwish, Onslaught, Toranaga, Anihilated, Xentrix, Slammer, Virus, Lawnmower Deth, and Re-Animator.

I have never heard of any of these British thrash bands but I am now very interested in checking them out and took down a list of the band names mentioned in this post. Thanks guys.
