Brootz. Krank Rev. Lot's of awesomeness.

you got br00tz allright!
Really solid mix, the only things i thought of was;
didn't like the distorteddrum effect in the beginning, sounded like they clipped in a bad way..escp. the kick.
Wouldn't mind if the vocals were more upfront, just 1-2dB louder.
Wouldn't mind if the bass was more prominent, now it's more of "i feel it, rather then i hear it".. but that's just a matter of taste..
i hear the notes, but for my taste i would liked it if the bass was a little bit more clearer.
Really liked the snare, any info on it? and the guitar chain how you got them to sound so huge?

Just updated the mix with a little more presence in in the bass, louder vocals and less limiting on the 2nd bus. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2932654/CMN%20TEST%205.mp3

Snare is 80% sampled from the drummers snare (thanks again to Danny for his Snare Tutorial :D), added some slate for the sustain and some Lsd for the punch.

Guitars are doubletracked, reamped through the Krank Rev and a 5150 (-8db) into a Krank OS with V30, some heavy saturation with VCC (Neve) and Kramer Tape and C4. On the guitar bus there's even more saturation (VCC Mixbus), broadbandcompression (around 2db gr with ssl style comp) and HEAVY eq'ing.

solid mix but i think you're over-using the VCC saturation / saturation in general.... it's making everything kinda veiled and too 'soft' for lack of a better term....

strip some of that away and or tone it down and you'll have it slammin'...

EDIT: 2nd version sounds better but for me, it's missing the vibe of the first.... =D

The only thing VCC is heavy on are the guitars. Most of it is allready printed. Maybe take it down from the 2nd bus, Drum and Guitar-Bus? Thought VCC's effect is so small it's hard to overuse it :D

Reference was Architects Hollow Crown and BMTH Suicide Season. Those are pretty hollow/vibey mixes imho.

Here's the latest version:
