I've been listening to a lot of Wormed recently and it got me wondering if there are other bands that fuse brutal death metal with melodic moments or vice-versa. I know the melodic moments in Wormed are quite brief but I'm sure that, if you like the band, you'll probably know what I'm talking about. I think Aborted may be what I'm looking for but I'm not that familiar with them. Any ideas?

Well, I've never listened to Wormed, so I'm not sure what level of heaviness we're comparing to; but I've always thought that Augury was pretty fucking brutal, and they're melodic as hell.
