To me the production on Vomit The Soul is near the best possible in terms of comprehension and power.
The bass has a fucking sound and with few bdm bands (disconformity, defeated sanity and incinerate for example) they are the only were the bass part is more than complementing the guitar sound by adding low frequencies and barely decipherable...

I must say, I just got my hand on Gortuary and they are pretty fucking solid. Though I find solos kind of redundant there.

Whats the deal with you guys bitching about "sterile" production?
Theres some bands who have good production, and others who have crunchy production. Theyre both different sounds, and both are great for what they accomplish. Vomit The Soul's newest release may have had "sterile" production, but it was needed for the bass to be heard well in the mix, and every single instrument (including the vocalist) killed it. In a good way, of course.
I dont mind either production method. I just dont see why its such a big deal.

I just recently started talking on here, but did you do any of you guys like Septycal Gorge? Their newest album is really awesome.

My personal opinion is that SG's first album is the best bdm album ever released.

EDIT: Oh and I'm looking forward to the new Pathology of course!

Hmmm, I liked the solos a lot. Gortuary were a big deal when that album came out but no one seems to talk about them anymore.

That's a shame, top notch material. Their case is much like with Guttural Secrete. It's been about 4 years since the release of RoPD. Are there any works on some new stuff?

I enjoyed the Guttural Decay full-length. I know it's not Tier 1 or even Tier 2 Slam, but it's still fun regardless. The Babykiller cover didn't do much for me. I prefer the Inhuman Dissiliency version better, however neither compare to the original.

They are working on it, but they have really busy lives at the moment. Don't expect the 2nd full-length before 2011.

I agree. I like both.
