He got a couple mentions in that other thread, do a lot of people here like him?

I didn't think there would necessarily be a big intersection of Opeth and B-head fans, their music is really quite different. Bucket into sound and fretwork more than good songwriting really. Don't get me wrong, one of my favorites and in the top-5 live acts around.

to be perfectly honest I dismissed him as a flash in the pan shredder when I listened to his earlier works,a friend of mine sent me Electric Tears some time later and he wouldnt tell me who the hell the artist was(he simply sent unlabeled tracks) I was quite dumbfounded when he informed me it was Buckethead as well, after that I tracked down as many recordings possible by him, sure many finds turned up more frantic songwriting than anything else but there were also some extremely cool finds like Colma,Cuckoo Clocks From Hell,Population Override,The Elephant Mans Alarm Clock.

his work with Praxis on their Live Transmutation album is also excellent, minimal, but excellent.

im extremely glad he put out those mellow works of his.
