Building new audio PC, please recommend!

Hi guys,

I am gonna build a new audio PC for my studio soon. Having absolutely no clue about what components go well together, I'd like to get your opinion on what has been running stable for you guys?

My general idea is:

2TB RAID HDs
4GB RAM
Quadcore

but that's kinda all I know.

Do you guys have any specific suggestions for mobos, ram chips, hds, etc.?

Or can you point me to any good sites dealing with this?

P.S.: I have a MacBook for travelling and an iMac 27" for photo/video work in my office, but I will never buy a Mac for audio work, so please don't reply with "get a Mac"

i have no real clue about components and such, but i bought a computer from this german dealer with similar specs like yours. didnt regret it.

he can also alternate his existing models for you, like more hdd's etc.
the cases are cheap, but the prizes are awesome. give it a look!
