Some people cant do it, or dont have the time. Personally id ask wankerness as he pretty much makes the best tabs iv heard.

Learning by ear is bad. Learning a piece by reading music is actually more beneficial. I recommend use the Guitarpro but only read the tab if you need to, otherwise read the notes.

I recommend never using guitar pro because it is dreadful. Messiest notation ever. Powertab all the way.

WHAT??! Powertab blows. Guitar Pro is alot more flexiable, and mostly more accurate than Powertab. You can actually compose things on Guitar Pro without wanting to rip your face off also.

such lies, alot of people pretty much just copy the file into gp from Pt and it ends up having ridiculous methods of playing a riff, totally unrealistic.

Well people who do that are retards. Everything I d/l is playable. It takes forever to write something on Power Tab, which is what I mainly do on Guitar Pro.
