Burning software recommendation?

Back in the stone age when I got my first cd burner, I started using Nero because it's what people seemed to prefer.

Well, I've tried a newer version of Nero a while ago and, meh, not impressed. Kind of feels like installing a Norton product: it sits on your computer like a bloody spider.

So I want to check what you guys would recommend for burning. I'm not talking about making audio cd's, just data! Something simple and capable. Any suggestions?

I've been using Roxio's Jam for audio cd's and Toast for Data DVD/CD.

I really like jam, cause I can do all my own crossfades and song start markers.
