Bush botches chance for quotable, historical comment on Saddam (predictably)

i bet they write amazing speeches, and he just fucks them up. like i bet that said something like "When the heat was turned up..." or something, and he totally ruined it. like the post-9/11 "we're gunna git THE FOLKS who did this." come on. they didn't write that.

i think it's a huge sign of ignorance when people aren't flattered someone's speaking to them using intelligent language. it means they think you can handle it, not that they're "putting on airs" and trying to insult you!

the lesson here is that you should always talk down to people and talk very slowly and use small words.

what I don't like is when commies try to communicate using the most dense, complicated language possible so as to not appear as morons. I don't know which is worse.

hah well, academic intellectuals (who are usually left-wing commies, it's true) are a really specialized and small subset of people who talk using "big words". whereas people who talk down to "common people" are a pretty significant portion of the population.

at least he didn't make up a word this time like "strategery"

I think his main problem is that he forgets what he just read on the paper when he lifts his head to make eye contact.

too many things for the brain to proccess at once.

I agree with Xfer...I have infinitely more respect for someone who uses his intelligence in the most casual of conversations and refuses to mince words, even if he/she does come across as pretentious. I hate being in the company of people who can't speak in complete sentences. And people who consider Bush to be "one of us" because he sounds uneducated are morons.
