This is my first tube amp, and the tubes in it are stock and probably two years old. Also, two of the tubes are broken...
I've been reading and lurking a lot about tubes, and I think I've decided on what tubes to buy, but I'd love to hear your opinions!
This is a pictures of what kind of tubes I'm thinking of. It's based on a chart from Tube-Town.net (where I'm ordering the tubes from) with tubes recommended for ENGL amps of this type. People seem to like JJ's and from clips I've heard they sound good (although, I never heard them in an Invader!).
