Buzzzzzzzzzz

So I'm setting up a reamping session and I'm losing my mind. Now, I run my Profire 610 out to my ISA One Pre and into my Radial JCR. I've been doing this forever and haven't had any problems with it. I don't know why but now I'm getting a horrible buzz the whole time, loud enough to be heard over the guitars (listen to example)

Now, I've narrowed it down and I run a mic cable out of my ISA One into my JCR. If I only have the cable running out of it hooked up to the reamp box which goes into the amp, it still makes the buzz, regardless if it's actually plugged into anything (so picture my pre plugged in with only mic cable running out of it). If I unplug my pre, it stops. Even if the pre is off and I plug the power cable in, it starts buzzing again. I've tried multiple cables, outlets etc. and I can't seem to figure it out. It wouldn't be that big of a deal if I couldn't hear it underneath the guitars playing, but I can. Again this hasn't happened before other than one other time (which it just fixed itself out of nowhere).

The ground lift on the JCR is already on, without it on it's really bad. When I plug my guitar directly into the reamp box or directly into the amp, there is no buzz. Also, if I run my interface directly into the reamp box it still buzzes. Basically, when I plug it into something with a power source, it buzzes. Even if my pre is off and I run a cable from my interface into it, it will still buzz once the cable is in. All my outlets should be grounded but I'm going to try and plug it into a separate surge protector and see if that helps

Sounds like a ground loop. Try plugging all the gear in the chain into the same outlet. Everything should have the same ground reference at that point and "should" eliminate the buzz. If not, try switching cables and taking pieces out of the chain piece by piece and see what is causing it

That actually sounds like it would work, I moved my pre recently to a different outlet than the rest of my stuff because I moved my amp in my second room and my mic cable wasn't long enough so I just moved my pre across the room.

I'll post back in a few! Seems like every week I have something else going on haha. Cheers!
