I'm sorry, but all this ohms business really, really gets me confused.
I have an old marshall 2x12 cab and all the writing on the back of the jacks is scratched/worn off so i dunno what impedances things were to start with let alone what they'll be afterwards.
One of my jacks is busted, and i'll be getting new jacks and speakers soon anyways (expect a thread on "Which speaker will go well with a V30 in my cab" 30 seconds after i get paid) so i figure as a temporary fix just to wire both speakers to the one jack that isn't busted. (So if you turn it 90 degrees it'll be like the left/right hand side of a stereo 4x12). I don't think that doing this by myself will "hurt" the cab, but i just got a new 5150 and i'm really paranoid about breaking tube power amps and other small things like fire and electrocution.
The wiring is currently like this:
I guess that when i'm done with it it'll look like this
If something looks wrong with that then let me know!
Also what ohmage and wattage will my cab be after my little adjustments? I'm not 100% sure what it was to start with..
Thanks for reading this long and babbling post.
