Got the album on iTunes last night. Very, very good. Kotipelto is singing in fine form. Even better than the last few Strato records.

If it's available domestically, I'd prefer the CD, but if not, I just get it on Itunes or Amazon.

Is Cain's Offering getting a US release anytime soon?

Friggan SWEET! It is on EMUSIC as well. Now, I really can't wait till my account resets! I am listening to the previews and I really like what I am hearing.

As for getting the original CD? Well, I've gotten Polaris off of eMusic. When I finally found an actual CD copy, I ended up buying it, as I do find that I prefer to get things on CD whenever possible. However, there is no denying the convenience of downloading it as MP3, especially when the CD can be hard to come by.

Love the album. Though I have one gripe, that being the majority of the subject matter seems to be about broken hearts and what not. I just started tuning the lyrical content out, because all the vocal melodies and musical aspects of it is very enjoyable. Freakin great album all in all.

Downloaded this off of eMusic (Thank you for that 50 free "loyalty bonus"!)

Listening to it through my trusty ol' Elan Via!DJ music server feeding my Klipsch setup. Holy Shit!!! This album just kicks some serious ass! Timo Kotipelto is really on top of his game here in the vocals department, not to mention some melodies on here that are just as catchy as hell. Really solid work all the way around musically. Not only that, but the production seems to come off sounding really tight and clean on my big fancy audio rig (believe me, if an album sounds shitty, you will know immediately on this setup :ill:).

Not only that, I don't find it to "same-ol-same-ol" either. Yeah, melodic power metal has been around, but it seems these guys really brought up added a really nice modern sound to it. Just a nice tight, clean album all the way around. I personally find it far superior to the Revolution Renaissance stuff (and admittedly, I did listen to and enjoy the RR stuff). Oh yeah, even though I did get it off of eMusic, I am definitely going to get this on CD as soon as I can find a copy! If not, at least for the better sound quality on the CD instead of the just the compressed MP3 files.

Listen to the song Elegantly Broken then listen too

Hehehe ... when Jani were writing the songs and send me the demos I pointed this out to him. But, in I have total respect for this, he told me he didn't remember that song and it wasn't written with that in mind at all. You know, there's only so much you can do in writing music and sometimes a simple piano line comes up sounding like something you've heard before. For what it's worth, if that's the only thing people can complain about in regards to this album, we're very happy, because the entire disc kicks major ass.

Its funny in a way though, because in classical music and jazz this is widely accepted and respected. In other forms, people get very upset.

So, will it be available at ProgPower? Will the blue cover version with bonus track be available? I see CDInzane has it on their site.

great album. this is one of the main albums i will be hunting for at the merch tables. They were also on of my picks for next year. could just be ablum of the year, but the new before the dawn is not out yet so i can not say for sure.
