Can a standard crap keyboard be used to trigger synth/drums in cubase?

This one is as the thread title really guys!

I've got this old keyboard from argos, and it has a midi out/in. Just wondering whether if i hook it up to my pc will it work for triggering sounds and stuff! I've never done stuff like this before, as im a noob of course Will i have to set anything up software wise?

Yes it will, connect the MIDI out of the keyboard to the MIDI in of your soundcard, select the good MIDI Source and Channel in your MIDI track and there you go...
