Hello, I'm already a competent lead guitarist and i want to play the drums to eventually reach a high standard. My goal is to become a technical death metal drummer.
I have some problems, the main one being that I don't know a lot about drums, and second im going to be teaching myself.
I want to buy a kit that'll last rather than needing to be replaced once I'm good. So really i'm after a good quality 5 piece kit suitable for death metal which i will one day be able to play. So can anyone recommend a good kit, set of cymbals and double pedal, which would set me back a maximum of £1000/$1600
I don't want to start with a single pedal, I'd rather have the double pedal, even if it means i wont use both pedals for a while, so that when i do i'll have it.
The drummers in my two bands can show me basics, such as how to hold the sticks and beginners patterns, other than that im going to need to learn alone, so does anyone have any reccomendations here ?
