Can someone teach me cricket?

I been liking this sport from what I seen on Youtube. It reminds me of baseball but even longer than baseball, which I've heard it can be played for days. I see some of the scores for the cricket games and makes NBA basketball look like a real football or hockey game.

The problem with that mutantllama is that there isn't a cricket league round here I think. I would think a US cricket league would be like soccer(futball) here... not good and want the best playing the sport.
