CARCASS, AT THE GATES To Reunite? - June 22, 2005
According to www.metaltracks.com, strong rumours gathered from the mouths of Jeff Walker and Bill Steer of Liverpool gore grind superstars CARCASS and Adrian Erlandsson (CRADLE OF FILTH), formerly of Swedish melodic death metal masters AT THE GATES, at the recent Metal Hammer Awards in London suggest that both bands are considering reforming and going on tour together in the near future. No further information is currently available.

Two legendary bands reuniting = happy day for metal
 
in reality, this will suck on both accounts. In my dream world, where carcass forgets their last studio cd, dead to fall get dropped and carcass added to the napalm death/obituary tour.


I was/am huge carcass fan but I don't see this going well.

As for at the gates, we hear their cd slaughter of the soul slaughtered every day from 2/3 of all the metalcore bands. Heck, that wasn't even their best cd.
 
This is probably a rumor because I thought the Bjorler bros, Lindberg and Erlandsson met at a fest in England and talked about an at the gates reunion. Didn't hear about Carcass, last I checked ken owens is still battling cancer. Can't reform carcass without him, that would be lame.

I'm sure if Carcass does make a big comeback, they won't just play primarily Swansong material. They know their fans want to hear Symphonies of sickness, necroticism, heartwork stuff...maybe put in a reek song.

As for at the gates...yeah, they'll probably play a mix, but with perhaps a couple more from slaughter. I'm sure they would play kingdom gone, red in the sky is ours, terminal spirit disease...just the hits I guess from those albums. Regardless, it's a reunion of them...it isn't cradle of filth nor is it peter dolving's annoying hardcore screams, it's AT THE GATES.
 
I would have a heart attack if Carcass reunited. I could care less if most of the songs were from Swansong anyway (and yes I liked a few track from the album, fuck you all).
