Cauldron Black Ram feels a bit too bizarre to be called OSDM, but I love 'em anyways so who cares what they are.

Haven't heard the new album yet.. Wasn't even aware there was one coming until a day after it's release, haha.

I'll be getting it soon. Hoping NWN gets it or something.

NWOBPM is one I've been seeing here and there lately - New Wave Of British Progressive Metal, referring to bands like The Safety Fire, Second Skin, Fellsilent and the like.

Well if you want to get technical, the band's myspace page states Older Schooled Obscure Metal - OSOM

OSDM gets thrown around way too much as a label for anything resembling quality death metal nowadays. I'm not referring to CBR, as I've never bothered to check them out (will do so later), this is more centered towards the Impetuous Ritual reco. While top shelf, I didn't get an early 90's type vibe from either of the posted tracks. Shit was about as modern as my morning hard on for Sophia Vergara.
