CD Burners

I am in need of purchasing a new CD-writer, and it MUST be an external drive that connects via USB port.

Can anyone make a decent recommendation? Price is not necessarily an object, but I don't want to spend $500 either. Thanks in advance to all who can help....

Mark - I got the HP cd-writer 8230e (4x4x6 USB).

It's external and sits alongside my laptop via USB

I got it about a year ago (so HP probably have a newer model, but it cost me about $100 and works fine).
