To Mega Therion ... one of the moodiest, darkest fucking nightmarish metal releases ever.

The whole package, from cover painting to the depressing darkness of the songs is classic.

A must own.

Whoa, you're all ninnies here. CF rules. ESPECIALLY Into the Pandemonium and To Mega Therion. Tom's book is an interesting read also. Get that first. Only thing I don't have is Cold Lake, not for lack of trying or want, cause I'm a sucker for punishment.

I own the book... it's not that bad.

Also own all of the discs. I prefer Into The Pandemonium and Morbid Tales. To Mega therion is very good though. I also dig Vanity/Nemesis, but it's a bit more modern than the rest.

Cold Lake is for completists, and even then.....

You may or may not like 'em.

They are most certainly a HUGE influence on many a band in the metal genre.

I am of the OPINION that you ain't metal if you don't have some of the Frost in your collection.

they suck sort of doom sort of death all down-tuned sludge that people think are great but they really suck they can't write songs for shit

yeah, think downtuned and a slowed down punk-ish delivery...or I guess old doom, very basic and somewhat catchy, then add orchestral passages and lee dorrian "hey!" vocals...

I like venom a lot better than the frost though

I reckon "To Mega Therion" would be aptly described as avantgarde thrash. It's not as sludgy as "Morbid Tales."
