Hi!
I mix EP for one band. They've brought all the material yesterday. And I've found that for some reason their rhythm guitarist recorded his tracks for one song in wrong tempo. It should be 120 bpm (all other tracks are 120 bpm). But he recorded it at 127 bpm. He recorded at home with click only, so probably he just set wrong tempo.
Of course I understand that the best way is to re-record guitars. But they just want to do things fast. So they ask for some "sound engineer's magic".
So the question is what plug-in or standalone program is better to use to slow down DI-guitar track from 127 to 120 bpm without any noticeable changes to the sound?
I've tried already Cubase's Time Stretch. The best results seem to be made with Realtime Plucked algorithm. Visually it looks almost the same. Attacks are almost perfect. Decays are not so beautiful. And spectrum analyzer shows slight difference. I am not very experienced. Is that ok?
Thanks!
