"Congratulations", you say? Have you gone completely mad? Gone totally off the rails? Lost your marbles? The lot of you? Where's the tr00 underground spirit, I ask you my friends, where indeed? Have you so completely lost focus on what is the most important part of a great band, namely the fact that 1) nobody knows who they are 2) nobody listens to their music and last but MOST CERTAINLY not least 3) NOBODY BUYS THEIR BLOODY ALBUMS!
Can't you see what has happened? Can you not recognise a downfall when you come across it? Have you really lost that tr00 touch? Alas, a once great band has now fallen from grace. Number 3 indeed! I fart in your general direction!
This is most outrageous. I am most displeased. I shall never purchase another album of yours again. I shall merely, when I come across your name, wherever it may be, whisper: "sellouts".
And there will be a general awkward silence, followed by the sound of tr00 enthusiasts fleeing for their lives, shrieking with utter terror. For they shall then know that thou hast sold more than 100 albums, which is a crime more cruel and brutal than eternal sunshine and happiness.

:p

(sorry, I'm a bit bored. Sarcasm aside, I offer my congratulations as well! It's good to see, since I am used to the continually crappy state of Swedish lists)

Anna, we're not in Norway :p

I liked the part when Anna farted in Norway's general direction.
We need more straightforward people like her.
:p

ok found a list of chart entrys od Character:

#83 germany
#3 sweden
#1 swedish metalcharts
#57 italy
#30 finnland
#1 in greek metalcharts
#39 Uk rockcharts

Thanks for the update, soleald. I wonder if they're on the Billboard chart? One must subscribe to the 'zine in order to view the charts online. (Does anyone here from the US subscribe?)

So how about radio airplay in those countries you listed? Most major rock stations here in the US are clueless. I've noticed very few (if any) non-American, non-British, non-Canadian, non-Aussie bands get the attention of US radio programmers. Of course this is excluding the underground and online radio stations. No, the big media conglomerate rock stations here can't even come to terms with the "Metal" name for the genre. They call the new breed of hard n heavy music "Active Rock." (hah!) Their idea of "international," that I've heard so far, includes maybe Rammstein and The Scorpions. Here's Chicago one and only "Active Rock" station's current Top 10 as of yesterday:

1. Mötley Crüe
2. Alter Bridge
3. Submersed
4. Sevendust
5. Slipknot
6. Damageplan
7. Velvet Revolver
8. Cradle of Filth
9. Megadeth
10. Breaking Benjamin

Here is another link to thread at Chicago Radio board http://members5.boardhost.com/Crow_On/msg/36132.html that will illustrate how much these dicks don't care about the music. They only care about their $bottom line$ 'kin assholes.

i don't think they're on any "standard playlist", but they've been interviewed at a couple of shows on swedish channel p3 (and in connection to one of them they played - i'm not quite certain which it was - the new build or lost to apathy). :)
