I'm new here so this is an introduction. I've been building guitars for 17 years and I'm a huge Charvel fan. My first guitar was a Model 6 that I bought in 1987. I tortured it and it's not in the best shape now. I've done a 3d drawing of it and I'm getting ready to cut one. If anyone has any upgrade ideas I can incorporate into it I'd love to hear them. I am going to make the neck from a single piece of maple instead of doing a scarf joint to get the headstock size and angle. Original is Basswood and I'm thinking Swamp Ash on this one.
