Hey!!
I have been lurking around this forum for a few months now and have been learning quite a bit (Thanks so much). I have decided to post my first mix of a song I recorded today with one of my friends.
- Drums are SD 2.0 mixed with andys kick and Behindert's dry snare sample
- guitar is a cheap ibanez RG ran direct to my M-Audio FW1814 into Dandelium's Solo C before the 8505 technique (quad tracked)
- bass was a squire 5 string jazz bass dI into the m-audio box then into Ampeg svt
- Vocals where done with a shure SM7b
Please let me know of anything you pick up on that i could change to make this a better mix. The song is called "Until The End"

Guitars are way too quiet. Vocals sound pretty br00tal.

Edit: Actually, I think if you just bring the vocals down a lot, the mix will balance out well.

anymore suggestions? I have a bit of verb on the vox to create a bit of space, I really liked how punchy they were dry-ish

Oh and the vocals are double tracked for the verse parts and panned 10% L & R and quad tracked for the chorus parts panned 65% L & R and 35% L & R.. what kind of verb should i use for this style? Plate maybe? also how wet? thanks
