That guy who won't say "thank you" when you open the door out of politeness ;)

Since I work in a ritsy resturaunt, I know all too well about opening doors for people and them walking through as if nobody did them a service. :Smug: Dicks.

I think your comments are insightful, and Revelation is indeed more for (futuristic or past?) historical learning rather than doctrinal learning. It's worth wading through and researching on to see what it is actually referring to, or else it simply wouldn't have been inspired to be written. I remember reading a verse somewhere (can't remember where) that the devil is always grooming a new antichrist to take power after rapture. I need to stop talking and actually go look this stuff up know, I hate being ignorant of relevant facts. :p

I think Revelation is there because it ends on a hopeful note. While I think it had immediate relevance to the Christians in the Roman empire, I think that its major themes of good vs. evil, being aware of false prophets/pious liars, and perserverance in the face of adversity are truths that modern Christians can learn from today.

I don't really believe in a literal rapture, either, actually, but its just my thoughts. And I hold a lot of unorthodox thoughts. That being said, whatever one chooses to believe, I think the important thing is improving the here and now.

1) I dislike Slayer very much, save for a few songs
2) Slayer's fanbase are made up of morons
3) I am a Christian, so "Bible-bashing" is out of the question
4) 6606 is NOT the number of the Beast, unfortunately
5) Did I mention that Slayer, for the most part, blows?

Well, this just explained all your posts in the Trivium thread. :zombie:

In addition to all of that, on 6-6-06, Slayer kicks off the Unholy Alliance Tour.

Wow, another well thought out, well constructed post (smell the sarcasm). By the way, thanks for the insult, I'm a Slayer fan and by no means am a moron, but I won't take your post to heart because after reading your signature and listening to sound clips of that garbage I feel a lot better :)
