My chinese friend doesn't like metal, but he told me he'll give me a try if
I convinced him that there are good chinese metal bands, apparently true to his roots.

Suggestions??

ZURIAAKE
Original Sin
Liam

there's actually a really good black metal scene brewing within China. I brought this up sometime ago in the Black Metal thread, but definitely keep your eyes on China...they're putting out a lot of quality stuff lately in terms of black metal.

Liam is Chinese? The friend who introduced me to them told me they're from the U.K.

I do have an album and an EP by Dopamine. Both amazing.

Came across that band while listening to a metal/post-rock/shoegaze compilation (The World Comes To An End At The End Of The Journey).

That album hasnt officially been released yet. Those tracks are all demo versions. The album will eventually be released on this label: http://www.pest666.com/news.php

Really? Because I found their actual page and it said that the band is "dead" because of personal issues as of 2010? And I had finally found a website that sold their EP but it was on cassette and vinyl...

Read the second blog

Their myspace page is apparently run by the lead band member.

I hope to God that this isn't true because I had just recently found out about them (mid last month) and they became one of my new favorite bands. Them and Krallice.
