Ring, Cicada live in St. Louis. Belleville, I believe- which was also the origin of Uncle Tupelo and Wilco, no matter what those Chicago people say. Those of you in good music towns may not understand the significance of finding a decent local band in a veritable wasteland of musical nothingness.

but they're playing tonight, so that 's good.
also, on Monday: Dysrhythmia. The two together would make for a great show, methinks- i will have to bug ring, cicada tonight and make sure they are going to the dysrhythmia show monday- even though i have never met them. I foresee myself making an ass of myself.

for some reason, i thought about gg allin the other day. i think it was due to some vanity license plate i saw that read gigi. of course, i didn't think of the obvious musical- i had to think of the other guy.
