I'm fairly certain that Gregg is a fan of Spastic Ink. I think pretty much everything Ron Jarzombek has done is amazing. He's had this link on his website to this system that he made him called The Circle of 12 Tones. As a musician/composer myself, I thought it was a great idea. I was wondering what Suspyre (Gregg especially) thinks about this system.

Wow...thanks for bringing this to my attention. I'll have to spend some time with it to digest all of it.
What I got out of it so far, is that it seems like a variation on the twelve-tone system made popular by Arnold Schoenberg (the "Magic Square"), which is very refreshing. I've written some twelve-tone music, and it all beings to sound the same after a while. Using Jarzombek's ideas may spark some creativity in that idiom.

It's been a while now, and I have to ask Gregg if this has influenced his writing for the new CD at all? Or are you still experimenting with it? Or not using it at all?

I haven't really used it much yet, since most of the next album was written years ago. I will however try to experiment with it a little more when I begin to write some new material.
