If this is a completely stupid idea...my apologies.

For those of us who do digital recording at home - would anyone be interested in starting a kind of online compilation? My thinking would be that someone could start some sort of project, maybe lay down an initial beat with bass, or guitar or whatever, and then send the file in one format or another to the next person in line, who could then add their respective contribution to it and so on...

We'd have to work out the particulars as far as compatibility on the various setups we all have out there, but I thought it would be kind of interesting to see what things would sound like when we were done...

Any takers?

Ive done this on a nother board, and it turned out really cool, but I dont think it's possible with metal, it would have to be more of a blues rock jam song.

That would be cool with me...hell, it'll probably end up covering 2 or 3 different styles by the time 4 or 5 different people make their contributions...
