So, not sure what anyone else on here thinks of these guys but this CD rules my life right now. I kept seeing it on Travis Smith's website where he did the art, and really dug the cover so picked the CD up used & cheap a couple weeks ago. I figured they were gonna be like a pop punk scene band, but this thing is amazing. Best way to describe it for me is if you took some 70's prog, some 80's synthpop, and Queens Of The Stone Age or something. Freaking brilliant CD, great hooks, lots of interesting layers/keys/programming/moogs, songwriting is really good. Lots of vocal harmonies. It's a concept album about a girl getting abducted. Anyone else ever check them out? Best CD I've found all year, hands down. And yes.....I have the new Nevermore, the new Exodus, the new Soilwork, etc.....

it's Bam Margera's brother's band. i mean, not really "his" band because the other dude is the main guy. i was actually shocked at how catchy it was when RR sent me a promo. i had expected some sort of nu-metal, but it's actually pretty decent stuff. plus he did a solo on the latest BELIEVER album too, i believe. reminds me of DEADSY's first album. which if you have never heard i would check it out. that is Cher's son's band. they do a pretty awesome cover of Tom Sawyer. they remind of Gary Numan "Cars" vibe but as a metal band. cool stuff.

For the longest time I paid no attention to these guys. Looked over them basically due to what they were associated with; BAM, ICP, etc. But when I finally heard them it really shocked me. I thought it was pretty good stuff.

Yeah, same here.....the Jackass connection made me think they were some lame skate punk band. I've heard Deadsy but it's been a long time. Will check it out again....

Thanks for the recommendation jon! :)
I'll definitely check them out!
Btw, I've always been into Metal, of some sort or another
but I've also been into Goth-Industrial stuff,
much like my neighbor Mr. Cashman! :)
Hi NEIGHBOR! (In my best Mister Rogers voice!),
for quite a very long time going all the way back to 1986!
Old Skool Skinny Puppy & Old Skool Ministry
Frontline Assembly & Front 242 are still
some of my faves!!!

Just using those as a reference to Deadsy & the like!

* ding ding trolley sounds *

Even weirder: our mutual friend Ripper's family owns a pretty sizeable farm almost exactly halfway between us. I visited it for the first time earlier today, so if you heard gunfire, well...yeah, that was us, playin' around in the back. :)

Yep... O'course, I'm into so much stuff besides regular ol' metal, too. :kickass:

Gotta say my interest in cKy is somewhat piqued, here. We tended to completely ignore them after they treated a friend of ours very badly when they toured with cKy a few years ago, but.... I'll check this new CD out.

I've always liked the song "96 Quite Bitter Beatings" from their first album, blatant Maidenisms and all, and their other college-radio singles.

Heard good things about the new one.

I AM still waiting for the Chuck Schuldiner tribute album Jess Margera has promised to put out.
