Hi, all. Time for a class act! I sampled a Gretsch Renown '57 Maple kit. This is a modern take on the classic "Great Gretsch Sound." Tom sizes were 10x8 high tom, 12x9 mid tom, and 16x16 floor tom. Recorded in 16bit, 44.1K stereo .WAV files, with left and right hand strokes. Mics used were Sennheiser 421 close mics panned naturally around the stereo spectrum for an airy, dry sound; and as overheads, Neumann KM 84s in an x-y position as close as I could get to my head, to best approximate the sound the drummer hears from his perspective. I also sampled the 22x18 kick using an AKG D112 inside mic, a Royer R-122 outside mic, and the aforementioned Neumann overheads. I feel I created nice variation and I'd love to hear any mixes you guys choose to use them in. These will probably require some EQ and processing to sit in a mix, they were recorded *VERY* dry. Feedback is welcome. Hope you all enjoy and please let me know what you think!

If anyone is willing to make TCIs, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks so much for this great forum, I look forward to your comments. :heh:
