So whenever I hear clean guitars on any of Joey's stuff it sound bad ass, but I know that it's pod. I've been trying amp after amp and I can't really seem to get a decent clean channel from pod. What are some of the heads/cabs you guys are using for clean guitar tone?

[Some of the productions that have clean guitars + Joey has done are in: The March Ahead, Vanisher's single, We Came As Romans has some parts, Attack Attack, plus a lot more I am sure..]

If you mean the cleans at 0:52

I can get that sort of tone with new strings (important!) and then using my Marshalls clean channel with pretty neutral settings (all tone knobs to noon) then add some reverb, delay and chorus. I guess you can replicate that pretty easily in podfarm.

That's EXACTLY what I am talking about. I am sooooooo in love with the single it's not even funny. :D
But I guess I will just need to add the FX [delay, light chorus and reverb] to the guitar while creating the tone? And when you say marshall are you saying real head + cab or marshall simulation?

Real amp. And I don't mean the smaller Marshall there, even tho it delivers really good clean tones too:

Haha mode4! Clean channel sounds nice, but you can forget the high gain sound. I remember when it came out in the numetal era and everyone was so stoked to have it! ;D

Btw I was asking myself too to create a nice clean guitar tone without setting up a real amp. Thanks for the hint joey. Will try it out.
I think if it comes to FX on clean guitars, a nice delay setup is the way to go.
