Ok, I know what the general consensus on the pod units seem to be around here, but with that said I really could use some more versatility in my clean tone (believe it or not, the XXX, while a high gain monster, leaves a little to be desired with the clean channel) and am considering purchasing one of these. So my rather stupid question for all the experienced pros here is: what are the differences between the pod xt and the xt pro?

basically the In´s and Out´s....as for the rest they´re the same thing.
check the specs on the pro, but i guess it doesn´t justify the extra cash!!!

Thats pretty much what I was wondering. There is like a $300 price tag difference and I'm not sure I can see where all the extra is except for like the in/outs and that it's rackmountable but someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Yea but the xt pro has spdif out so you never have to enter digital realm if you have spdif input on your recording hardware. This keeps better sound quality. You can still achieve great results with the bean though as many people here do.......
