Cleveland date added!

I've e-mailed PromoWest to see if there is still any shot of this tour coming to Columbus. THere is an open date in between Detroit and Cleveland, LET'S PRAY IT IS COLUMBUS. I can make the Cleveland show if I must, but it will be a big pain in the butt. ( I scheduled a field trip to Kings Island w/ my kids that day - I can get out of that but it would end up costing about 300 bucks of salary eeerrrrrrr :(

That's not a lot of backtracking when you're talking about a tour - it's only two hours. Most bands don't stick to a rigid geographically "correct" shedule.

Anthrax:

1995
12/2 Cleveland
12/3 Toronto
12/5 Detroit
12/6 Minneapolis
12/7 Chicago

There's more than two hours of backtracking there

1996 Anthrax:
6/1 Columbus
6/2 Louisville
6/4 Cincy
6/6Minneapolis
6/7 Chicago

YOu just can't book a tour based on what city you can get to quicker, it depends on what club will have you and has an opening and is less than a 12 hour drive.

Some time I wish I lived closer to a big city. If i want to se them play, It's going to be a min. of a 2 hr. drive. I wish bands still came to Toledo. That's only 45 min. away. It's about time I finally go see my favorite band play. As it stands now, Detroit is the closest so that is probibly where I will go.

I've seen Anthrax almost 20 times since 1994, and most of those times I've gotten lucky w/ shows being on weekends and what not. It's time to "pay the piper" and miss a Cleveland show, and wait for them to come to my city like everyone else does. Damn, it sucks to get a job and get responsible. :waah:

Annies is definitely smaller than Bogarts, but my point was when it comes to club shows, no one really cares about the "size" per se. Venue size is really only a factor when your talking about a band like KISS or AC/DC who have 18 tractor trailers worth of equipment to unload. They can only play a certain venue. Club tours are club tours. It doesn't matter if Anthrax play a 500 seat club or 1,000 seat club, the promoter pays them an amount and books the show. Think of how many times you've seen the Newport 85% empty (Overkill, Deicide, LOA) and think of how many times you've seen the Al Rosa backed beyond the limits of any and all safety laws. (TON, Testament) It all depends on who bids what and who is already where and when they are there.

Newport 85% empty...you mean like when Nuclear Assault will play there in May?

I might go see D.R.I. there too. It's either May or early April.
By the way, what is the name of the owner of Al Rosa? I saw him this weekend. He drives a fancy Lincoln. Looks kind of out of place in it.
