i'm coming from italy to stockholm and to the closeup festival, and i'll arrive @ the centre of the town during the night between 14th and 15th of april [this friday night].

so i need someone who tells me where i can go to sleep @ 1AM, or better would be if someone can take care of me, for that night almost. i'm a good guy, and i don't smoke eheh

Mikael was funny as always. This time I was standing way back because I had my son strapped to my back, so I couldn't hear everything the audience was shouting. But I do remember Mikael said the crowd sucked at singing "Happy Birthday". And he said something like "You know, I sold my soul to the devil. That's why I'm so talanted." and continued talking about the hounds of hell before playing "Baying of the Hounds".

The crowd wasn't as lively as on the Stockholm concert last fall. Probably because this one started at 1am and most people were tired. Not that the audience was bad or anything, they just seemed more tired.

A shame they didnt vaary setlist more, it's pretty much like on the shows Ive seen. And then, I totally misunderstand the concept of starting to play at 1am.

great gig, great atmosphere.
i was there and mikael recognized me in the 1st row, during the second song i think... i took many pictures of the festival in general, but i´m in lubeck, germany, right now, so you have to wait [and me too...]

Actually, most of the songs they played, I've never heard being played live in Sweden before (Ghost of Perdition, White Cluster, The Amen Corner, Under the Weeping Moon, Closure), so I was very satisfied.

And then, I totally misunderstand the concept of starting to play at 1am.

I guess Mikael wanted to wait for his birthday before playing? Seriously though, there were loads of bands playing and I guess it was due to them having to fit in all the bands that some of them played pretty late. And in a way it was good that Opeth played last, since they had no time restrictions like the other bands.
