Cloudkicker - Fade

he is nearby me, Columbus. hmmm interesting. Sounds good! Do you know any info on the recordings? real drums and bass?

Like his music, but don't like the artificial POD guitar sounds. And the drums still sound pretty one-dimensional.

Out of all of those 'in the box metal bands' type things, Cloudkicker has the best production values imho. Beacons slays everything I've ever heard from Periphery/Bulb, Chimp Spanner, etc... in terms of production.

I guess I'm a fanboi though! :heh:

This guy is from the same city as me, yet none of my musician friends in the metal scene know him. He must be a hermit or something

thats kinda what i was thinking. I am in Dayton...never heard of this guy before...

Beacons is definitely a great album. Lots of great tunes on there.

The guy likes to keep to himself, and seems to be a bedroom warrior because he doesn't like dealing with other musicians (totally understandable!).

After a few listens I think this one needs some vocals. I can see myself listening a couple more times and that's about it. Doesn't have much to latch onto for me where Beacons was pure instrumental joy

VERY good stuff. I'll pick it up but I agree it could use some vocals. Sounds like he has some pretty heavy ISIS influence, which I do as well. Also kinda wishing he had some real drums on there...
