haha yeah music marketing makes me laugh. we'll stop making a big deal over X-type bands for a while, then sometime down the line start promoting new acts that sound like them, except not as good, and proclaim some sort of renaissance even though scene X never actually went away, which you would know if you cared enough to look rather than just ate up whatever we write about!

i've seen that guy on cnn headline news at least once every year since at least 2002, but for whatever reason he seems to be getting massive attention everywhere else these days
