Children of Bodom recently came through Santa Rosa and stopped in for a visit before heading back to Finland. We showed them around the area a bit, sampled a few of the regions famous wines, and basically showed them a relaxing day off. It was very nice to have two of our far-flung endorsers make the time to visit us.
Guitar Player Roope Latvala (EMGHZ-H2) and bassist Hennka Seppälä (EMG-35/40DC/BQS System) have been with EMG for many years and we appreciate their support and loyalty. Roope is known as one of the most influential guitar players in the history of Finnish metal, and has been the main influence for many guitar players. He is so respected in his country that years ago when he was playing Jacksons, he single-handedly cemented them as the number one selling guitar in Finland. He now plays a signature ESP. Since 1985, regardless of what guitar he's been playing, he has always played EMG's [wtf?]. Now that's loyalty. Henkka is a very talented Bass player who plays both 4 and 5 string [?] ESP custom shop basses, and has been playing EMG for 13 years or so. He has been with COB since 1996, and while Alexi is the frontman on the stage, he is the frontman for the band when it comes to interviews and public appearances. A well rounded individual, according to him, the most important things in life are his family and his band.
We appreciate both Roope's and Henkka's loyalty and backing of our products. As you can see by the picture above, we had a good time with them and it sure looks like they are having a good one too. One thing we love here at EMG is connecting with our artists whenever we can and letting them know that they are appreciated.
