Hey,
To anyone interested, Children of Bodom are featured on Bam Margera's latest musical project entitled, "Viva La Bands." The CD/DVD double disc features music, including Children of Bodom and other artists such as HIM, Cradle of Filth and CKY. The DVD features music videos and extra footage from Bam's show. A great metal collection to have, it's in stores now. Check it out.

this sucks !

It sucks that CoB gets acknowledged around the world?

Bam magera is such an idiot !

1. It's Margera
2. Would you mind justifying your argument?

I like Bam's show, and actually prefer it to any of the other Jackass etc. shows. I don't care about he being a HIM fan, and I don't care what music his show has on background. If the music is some CoB, all the better, makes it even more enjoyable watching the show. And what comes to the Viva La Bands compilation, I think it's just another good opportunity for CoB to get more fans.

There was a looong dicuss over this at SoB a while ago. It came up that skater kids around the world may start listening to CoB because Bam likes it, and that would be completely lame.

And why should we care? As long as the "skater kids" don't come to me whining about something, I don't care shit what they do.

edit: When you think about it, I could ask everyone why is it so important for people that a band they like only has fans that like the band truely and only because they like the music and not because they just "heard they were cool and wanted to be cool themselves".

As I said, I don't care shit about what other people listen to and why they listen to it, as long as they don't start whining at me about something.

I hope more people start liking Bodom regardless, I want a headlining tour in the states and it won't happen unless there are more fans.

No ,it sucks that CoB are on the same DVD as CoF,HIM and shitty bands like that (of course thats only my opinion) and that even more 14-year old Goth-Kids will start running around with their shirts without owning one single fucking cd.

As I said, we shouldn't care about that.

I already said I like the show.

Hmmm, I'll never ever understand why people shit their pants when Bodom or any band for that matter, get some kind of recognition and a positive response in the mainstream.

I understand that it worries some people, that now, they'll have to blabber on and on about how they got Something Wild as soon as it came out just to prove they're that much more superior than someone who only discovered Bodom a week ago, but hey, that's your own problem.

I have to admit, I do get fucked off that some people who didn't give a shit or have time for certain bands will only give them a chance just because their music is played on a show like Bam's or a magazine etc says how amazing these 'newcomers' are 5 or 6 albums down the line. (mentioning no names) but there's nothing anyone can do about it unless the record company says, 'Shhh let's keep them secret so only 5 people can buy the next release'.

Who cares if it's Bam playing Bodom or even just Bodom doing the backing music for an advert for KY jelly? It's a little more publicity for them. Besides, Bodom's been pretty big for years now, why everytime something happens *like, they get played on TV* do some people on this board have a heart attack and act as if they're some pub band and it's a massive shock that, 'omfgz people heard of them wtfbbq!'

and let's not forget that even SLAYER has been on viva la bam, and it doesn't bother me, even i'm also "new" slayer fan, and i actually like viva la bam, it is just entertainment to me, and i like that kind of entertainment.

who cares if skaters listen to bodom..
i skate, always have, i listen to metal, always have..
does that maketh me more lame than you? if yes, please explain..

some of my skater mates listen to hip hop and theyre music taste sucks balls, but theyre my mates, my metal mates are long haired dirty cunt metal heads, some of which also skate.. i suggest like me, you judge people on their personality, views, and opinions, not what they look like when they're coming down the street 40 m away from you..
