I've ordered loads of things off ebay which are yet to arrive, the ones listed here are albums which I don't have anything from that artist already, if that makes sense....

I'd get all of Nachtfalke's albums. I think their best ones are Doomed to Die and Land of Frost. Hail Victory Teutonia is very good, but I don't think it's better the the other 2.

 

[Henrik Main]

Troll's "Drep De Kristne" is one of my favourite melodic/symphonic black metal releases ever. If you like Stormblåst-era Dimmu Borgir, by all means check out Troll.

Get Taake's "Over Bjoergvin Graater Himmelrik" too. Very atmospheric and grim black metal, keeping the atmosphere and spirit of the early black metal bands from Norway alive.

 

[Oblivious Maximus]

Get all both of Azrael albums, Into Shadows Act I: Denial, and Into Shadows Act II: Through Horned Shadows Glimpse. I cannot say enough good things about that band. Quality black metal.

 

[Life Sucks]

Good call on the Moonblood, Nachtfalke, and Grand Belial's key. In terms of black metal, you may want to check out Mjolnir, Tvangeste, Daemonarch, Nazgul (Spain), Art Inferno, Merrimack, Mutiilation, Endstille, Varathron, Wigrid, Kawir, Gontyna Kry, Legion of Doom, The Shadow Order, Belmez, Inchiavatu, Ohtar, Selbstmord, Kristallnacht, Lucifugum, Dub Buk, Fullmoon.....

Nehemah and Arckanum might also be worthy of your attention.

Great band. I fell that they're very underrated. I think their best work's are Idu na Wy!, and Rus Ponad Wse!

Moonblood are one of those bands by whom every recording is superb. You may want to begin with Blut und Krieg which is IMO one of the best 3 or 4 BM recordings ever.

Nachtfalke is Occulta Mors from Moonblood, and again, he's very consistant. Doomed to Die is perhaps the best.

Get Srontgorrth by Nagelfar, it's very interesting and unusual.

Castrate the Redeemer and Mocking the Philanthropist are both decent releases by Grand Belial's Key.

Unchain the Wolves, Phoenix Rising and Cold Steel for an Iron Age are all good releases by Destroyer 666 although I think they're overrated.

Don't bother with Taake. I wouldn't bother with Xasthur either, unless you like a more suicidal Burzum with less direction. Hate Forest's Purity album is tolerable but I don't like them much.

I notice you only have Stronghold by Summoning. You should get all their other releases, especially Dol Guldur which is definitely one of the best albums ever.

Following the Voice of Blood and The Fire of Awakening are both recommended Graveland releases that you don't own.

If you like Drawing Down the Moon, you'll also like Beherit's Electric Doom Synthesis - a highly atmospheric, ambient piece.

Arsenal of Glory is pretty much as good as Incorrigible Bigotry.

Demigod's Shadow Mechanics totally sucks compared to the monumental Slumber of Sullen Eyes.

You'll probably like Autumn Aurora by Drudkh.

En Their Medh Riki Fara is cool by Falkenbach.

Get NeChrist by Nokturnal Mortum.

How does that Forest compare to the s/t?

I haven't heard Forest's self-titled demo. Like A Blaze... is old school black metal worship, with traits similar to Darkthrone and Burzum. Riffs are often repeated to create a lulling ambience and epic atmosphere. The vocal delivery is also noteworthy, as it works perfectly with the melodies and the guitar tone. Recommended.

I think it compares well. The demo is not as good as Like A Blaze... though. It does remind me of Darkthrone a bit, but I hear alot of Burzum influence.

Same goes for the demo I think. The vocals on the demo are verry good, at least on the verson I have. You can hear everything pretty clearly. If you haven't heard the demo I recommend it.
