"Collide & Spark": Charity single for homeless relief!

MEMBERS OF PAGAN'S MIND, THEOCRACY, DARKWATER AND END OF SEPTEMBER CONTRIBUTE TO CHARITY TRACK FOR HOMELESS RELIEF

Ulterium Records is proud to announce the release of "Collide & Spark", an all-star charity track for sale with 100% of the income going to The Bridge Bunch, an organization dedicated to serving the homeless population of Nashville, TN, in the United States.

The song, which is almost seven minutes in length, is being released under the banner Project Aegis, and was composed by Theocracy vocalist and songwriter Matt Smith. It features vocals by Nils K. Rue [Pagan's Mind], Henrik Båth [Darkwater], Elin Redin [End of September] and Smith, as well as a guitar solo by Markus Sigfridsson [Darkwater, Harmony].

The artwork was created by Felipe Machado Franco [Blind Guardian, Rhapsody of Fire] and designed by Markus Sigfridsson.

"This is such a cool opportunity to help make a difference in a small way", says Smith. "Ninety-nine cents can go a long way toward giving someone a hot meal or a sleeping bag, especially now, in the heart of winter. Everyone associated with The Bridge Bunch works nonstop to serve the large number of people struggling in the Nashville area, and every penny of this goes to that very worthy cause. And the caliber of talent on this track makes it something truly special indeed!"

Sounds absolutely fantastic, is this a "remix" or is this type of vocal layering going to be featured on the final mix? Either way, I like what I hear and I will definitely purchase this ... PUR-CHASE as in with money, not troll the torrents looking for a freebie. ;-)

Great job everyone involved with this project!

So Matt WAS working on a Christmas song. Or at least, a Christmas present for his fans. Neato.

I've listened to this song a million times now. Please make this an actual project. Like, an Avantasia of Ulterium where Matt is Tobias.

Edit: I've listened to this song on repeat for almost 2 hours now. I guess I should go ahead and buy it.

Can we get this man a megaphone?

Please guys, spam this around so Matt, UltRec and Earth see this as soon as possible.

THIS. so much. I cant agree more.

I heard a few seconds of the sample, then bought it right away.

This song blows my mind in every way so far. Strong songwriting, amazing production, great performances, amazing solo, and loads of talent. And for a great cause, too.

What an amazingly inspired uplifting song! HOLY COW. I'm listening right now as I blast through a writing deadline. Just feeling the Holy Spirit coursing through this tune. WHOA. And I love that all the other bands are involved. Pagan's Mind too? That's pretty darn cool!

I second, third, and fourth the idea of expanding the effort to a whole CD. .99 cents might go a long way toward helping the homeless and hungry, but $8.99 would go A LOT further. Hint hint! Love you guys!

Merry Christmas!

Still listening to the song daily a few weeks later. Here's hoping for a Matt Smith Avantasia-style project :)

A big +1 to this. It took me a few days after release to download this song because I was traveling, but it's great to have some new Matt-composed material. A full metal opera would be most excellent.

I just listened to this song for the first time all the way through...wow! Sounds great. There's one singer in particular who was really awesome and I wanted to hear more of him, but I didn't know what band he was from. I think he sang the first chorus.
