Compressor with Lookahead freeplugin?

Hi there,

is there any plugin for cubase on the internet which includes this feature. i use cubase 5 and unfortunately there is no lookahead function available.

Duplicate the track you are compressing, mute it and nudge it a little earlier than the track you want to actually use and sidechain the compressor off of that maybe? That is if you are trying to essentially use a negative attack value, to compress the signal before it has a chance to cross the threshold...

Yes the osx version has it.
I'll check when I get home if it's in the Library/Audio/Plugins/VST dir or packaged into the Reaper app.

Yeah if you can use Reacomp that would be easier, Reacomp owns.

the auto make-up on it is foul though, it makes the sound really grainy

I've checked the reacomp on my mac, and it's packaged ito the Reaper app. I dunno if it can be used in another host, it's filename is reacomp.vst.dylib if that's help.
