congrats azal!

Also, Chris has heard it so maybe he can vouche for this, but I think that once you hear the whole album you'll find that it has a lot more variety to it than what you'd hear from bands you would consider our style, like Mnemic, Soilwork, Threat Signal, whatever, etc.

A lot of it has more of a progressive appeal, kinda like Symphony X with harsh vocals, more-so than a new In Flames/Soilwork sound in terms of arrangements, keyboards, solos, etc.

There's even a 12 minute doomy song at the end.

You should put more online then! As I was listening to it I was thinking "I wonder if all the songs on the album sound like this?" Good to hear they don't :)

the label told us to only put one up now, not sure why I really don't get what harm it would do, it's crap quality and it's not up for download, but whatever.

We'll probably put another one up every month up until the release.

Yeah, definitely that song isn't a true representation of the album, albeit it's still a good song. The album reminds me of a love child had by a three-way of Mnemic, SYL, Soilwork, with brief penetrations by Meshuggah every now and then just to keep it interesting.

Definitely better than what most "big" bands are doing these days.

here's the cover. I think it came out pretty cool.

So you had the record 3 years on your shelf? That must be brutally tempting to just put it out yourselves at one point...

Nice cover, btw!

not really, the process just took forever. We demoed the entire album in 2007 I think. then we recorded it as a final version in mid 2008. But the songs have been around for a good three-four years and I'm pretty sick of them. We spent like two years just looking for a good enough drummer and singer.
