Considering upgrading my DI. Worth it?

I'm considering upgrading my cheap-o Live Wire Solutions PDI to a Countryman Type 85.

But my question is, will I hear the difference? What will I gain buy going to the countryman? What is the "Amp" input?

Im running a 003+ Rack and a Presonus D8 into PT8 on Vista 64.

I don't have a Countryman Type 85. BUT I have a LiveWire Solutions DI and several Radial DI's.

Will you notice the difference? ABSOLUTELY!!! When I upgraded, the pick clarity went through the roof, better tone, better noise floor, just BETTER all around!! DO IT!!! Can't help you with the amp input though

I have a Type 85. Great unit.

The amp input is the link. You put a cable from that to the input of your amp. It has another use as well, but I've only ever used it in this way.

Duh, I guess with a little reading I would've known that. Amp, link, thru, its all just terminology.

I thought maybe you could run into that input from the speaker outs on an amp head.
