I saw the track listing for the new CD and there's a few Proto-faves therein. Are these re-releases of previous recordings or brand new shiny updated versions?

They are all new versions. Some of the songs are getting released as part of an album, not demo versions as on provious EPs. Most are songs never released before in any official form.

We'll be making an annoucement about it tomorrow, finally!
