Ive been following Converge since 97 and I continue to be impressed with how this band evolves. I have favorite records for sure but basically everything Jane Doe on keeps getting more listenable and unique. Kurts recording style is equally evolving and quite unique.
Its funny listening to something like Cave Ins "until your heart stops" album and hearing his newer stuff. It seems the tools and cohesion got better over the years but you can hear the similarities and infer what he shoots for in the final product.

My fav Converge release will probably always be the Poacher Diaries, but this is pretty damn sweet so far. Sounds incredible obviously...

I just love how the mix just gets so fucking over-the-top whenever double-bass kicks in. Also, Kurt is a HUGELY underrated guitarist. He has such a cool style.
