Converge Style Band. Need help with bass mix.

Overall I like the mix, but hate the bass. Band insisted on using an amp and a crappy muff pedal out front. Let me know how it sits.

converge o_0 i'd say more like HHLL... heh. bass doesn't sound too bad, it just seems like you kept it real low due to your disdain for it. a cool thing to do in a situation like that is run the kids bass into a sansamp, and then go direct into a micpre from there, but also go from the sansamps parallel out to his stack, mic that, then blend the two together on two separate tracks. rest of the mix sounds epic, the vocals sit real nice. drums sound huge.
