convince me to buy a line 6 POD

i dont know if i should get one. i already have a line 6 spider 2 212 series (lol not my main amp) and a line 6 toneport running gearbox.

is it just going to be the same as what i have already? only smaller and computerless?

Well it wont really be computerless, as Pods are really just computers themselves... but... why buy one?

I dont know about the Tone port....but when i had my guitar port and then sold it and upgraded to the PODX3....it was like night and day....so much better! BUT, its got so much shit i didnt know what to do with....lol

From listening on these boards and others....Revalver has better tones then the PODs

im actually thinking of the pod more for live work to hook up to a power amp to run specific tones and fx when i cant haul my full rig to a gig?

otherwise i would bring my laptop with gearbox and hook it up to a power amp. or my spider 2 which is like a less full version of gearbox. like..they all have the same basic line 6 sound more or less dont they? perhaps i'd be better off with just a multi fx (god i fucking hate them) but i dont know a boss ME or a korg ax3000 or something.

i dont want to be buying the same thing like...3 times. like the demos on the line 6 site for the pod some of them are the same for gearbox and for the spider amps. there all the friggen same.

I have a pod xt and a marshall 50/50 in the rehearsal room and I'm quite happy.

Well i think getting a podxt live is nice for live situations... if u cant take ur guitar head, pedals, etc. buy a pod xt live and it will give a nice sound if u know how to use it

Yeah, I have a Line 6 POD XT Live and it is amazing for live shows. I also have toneport for the studio, and I also use the Live POD for studio work sometimes too. It really can help with tones and such that the toneport can't do. I highly suggest it. I'm a strong believer in Line 6. A lot of people hate it for the studio, say its too digital but I work with it for great tones. As I have a Spider III 120 Watt combo.
