Cool Soundtracks

Anything by John Williams, Danny Elfman, Ennio Morricone and Angelo Badalamenti.

Some films that have nice soundtracks consisting of songs from bands and such, are for example: Forrest Gump, every movie by Quentin Tarantino, Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels, Donnie Darko.

Vangelis has done some good soundtrack too: Blade Runner, Chariots of Fire, 1492, Antartica... John Williams, Howard Shore, Hans Zimmer(The Thin Red Line, Batman begins) are very good composer too.

This is what I posted in Favorite Sundtracks thread.

I don't own too many soundtracks, but I really like the ones I have.

*My favorite would definately be the Mogwai/Kronos Quartet collaberation on The Fountain. What an amazing album. It moves me every time and I just love the theme and especially the climax. It helps though that I'm a fan of the movie as well.
*Air's soundtrack to The Virgin Suicides is pretty nice - nothing mindblowing, just a nice relaxing listen.
*I really like the ambient sounds of Crash's OST, and Bird York's song In The Deep is really beautiful.
*Requiem For A Dream has probably the best main theme of any movie IMO, really creepy and it fucks with your mind, so I don't listen to it that often, but I love it.
*I also have Mogwai's Zidane Documentary soundtrack, and even though I haven't seen the film it's not bad - really calm, and almost monotone, but in a good way. Completely different from the other things that I've heard from the band.

I loved the soundtrack to Babel. Also, the Silent Hill games have amazing soundtracks.

Pans Labyrinth... it's oscar winning and deservedly so. That song IS CREEPY. It's also my favorite film.
